Customer Comments:
I own a couple of Ron Fairchild pipes and they smoke like a dream. I first met Ron at the Kansas City Pipe Show back in 2003. He is a terrific gentleman and of course, makes some really great smoking pipes. He lives in Houston but makes the trip to Waco (about a 2-1/2 hour drive each way) almost every month to attend our Waco Pipe Club Meetings. He has sold a bunch of his pipes to our club members and sometimes I think we ought to change our name to the Fairchild Pipe Club because it seems each month everyone is smoking their Fairchild. LOL! .........................................................Steve, Waco, Texas
I like Canadians, and have two of Ron's pipes; was lucky enough to visit his workshop and select what I wanted, and see how he crafts his pipes. He is clearly a meticulous craftsman who knows how fine pipes are made, and has visited and learned from some of the best. The weight and balance are superb, and his smooth finish is particularly fine. The finish on his pipes are all superb; obviously handcrafted. Feels good in the hand, feels good in the mouth, breaks-in well. As a pipe smoker of 32 years, I believe that you could not go wrong with one of Ron's pipes! .......................................... Mark, Houston, Texas
"Ron's pipes are very light in weight and fantastic smokes. Most of his pipes are classic English shapes or variations thereof. His interpretations of the classic Dublin are my favorite. His wax only finished smooth pipes are beautiful, and I would put his natural carved finish up against the Castello Natural Virgin and the Savinelli Corallo. If you would like to try a great smoking pipe from a long time American carver, I highly recommend you try one of Ron's pipes." ........ Quinton Wells, President, Greater KC Pipe Club |
