Do You Have Any Pipes That Look Like These?

These are Custom-Bilts and they were made in the 1930's, 40's and 50's. They were great pipes in their day, and many collectors still say they are great pipes.
But I was challenged with a request to see if I could make these pipes smoke even better for the collectors who own them. They asked that I rework them using my "blueprinting" technique for optimized airflow. They were gracious enough to offer the testimonials shown at right and I am thrilled that they are happy with the results.
These improvements are indicative of what can be done with many other brands of collectible pipes, especially those of Algerian wood. For more information on my technique please reference the article that appeared in the NASPC Pipe Collector. It is currently online at:

The long-shank Custombilt from the 1946-52 era shown in the picture has always been one of my favorite pipes, both for its quality and its rarity. However, it has never smoked quite right or drawn correctly. Now it smokes great as well as looking great. Terrific work, Ronni.
